Cutting-edge connectivity with USB-C

A single USB-C cable is all that is needed to provide video and audio reproduction, transfer data quickly and supply power to the connected devices. The 70 W power supply via USB-C is highly practical and can reliably charge small computers or laptops. This creates more space on your desk since you no longer need an additional power supply for your computer.

One monitor, many ports

It doesn’t get simpler than this: Most end devices, such as PCs, laptops and cameras, can be connected directly to the monitor, thanks to its wide range of signal interfaces. The screen also features four USB type A 3.1 ports. This allows different devices such as mice, keyboards and headsets to be connected. This makes your everyday work easier and guarantees a tidy desk.

Design

FlexScan office monitors are an attractive addition to any office. Their sleek, compact design is elegant and the ideal size. The virtually frameless models are the perfect choice for multi-screen solutions and also look great as a stand-alone monitor, all while offering maximum usability.

Elegant design

The monitor’s appearance can be the key to creating a pleasant working atmosphere. Whether you are at home or in the office, the monitor’s virtually frameless design and ergonomic functionality allows it to fit naturally into your workplace environment. The housing is available in an elegant black, with matching white cables.

Incidentally, the EV2781 is an ideal match for daisy-chain multi-screen systems with its sister model, the EV2795. The housing design and stand are identical.

Controls integrated into bezel

Electrostatic switches are integrated into the front of the EV2781-BK instead of mechanical buttons. This ensures ease of use while also giving the monitor an extremely elegant look. The speakers and all the controls are also built into the bezel, pointing forward in the direction of the user. They are fully integrated into the monitor’s flat, nearly frameless design to offer an excellent user experience.

Image quality

There are many things that go into creating a high-precision/high-contrast, bright and crisp screen. We constantly develop our monitor technology, use only high-end materials and carefully calibrate every single monitor during production. As a result of these efforts, you can always rely on excellent image reproduction.

Maximum image quality thanks to the IPS panel

The monitor is capable of all three key elements of excellent image quality: excellent resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, maximum contrast of 1000:1, and stable brightness of up to 350 cd/m². That means you will experience razor-sharp text contours, brilliant graphics, and clear images. Thanks to the high-quality IPS panels with LED backlight, contrasts and colours remain stable from every viewing angle.

Precise colour control

An image can only be perfect if the colours are, too. This is why EIZO monitors have a 10-bit look-up table at a minimum, which allows the colour information to be assigned much more precisely than with conventional 8-bit LUTs. The finest colour gradations ensure that gradients are always perfectly displayed, while also offering customised adjustment options. For example, you can adjust the white balance from 4000 K to 10000 K in 500-K intervals.

Overdrive to quickly change images

Fast, faster, overdrive. The overdrive function accelerates switching time so that the grey-grey change takes only 5 ms on average. You can watch films and rapidly changing images without annoying afterglow.

Ergonomics

FlexScan monitors ensure computer workstations are more ergonomic. In addition to alleviating eye and back strain, the monitors also meet the user’s unique requirements. This is because we don’t believe that you should have to adjust to your workstation – your workstation should adapt to your needs.

Save electricity and your eyes with Auto EcoView

At day, at night, bright, dark: No matter when and how you work, the Auto EcoView function continuously measures changes of the ambient light and optimises the monitor with ideal brightness values automatically by using a sensor. The benefits: Annoying glare is reduced, your eyes will not get tired as quickly. A special two-point control takes into account the brightest and darkest environment over the course of the day with the respectively desired screen brightness. Another advantage: Thanks to the automatic brightness adjustment, you will save up to 50% of your electricity costs in comparison to a monitor that is permanently operated at maximum brightness.

Of course, you can also continue to configure the monitor manually. EcoView Index is used for orientation on how environmentally friendly and economical your settings are.

Flicker free: for the sake of the eyes

To help protect your eyes, EIZO has developed a hybrid technology to control the backlight. This combines the benefits of the otherwise standard PWM (pulse width modulation) and DC (direct current) control. The PWM control uses much higher frequencies than standard PWM methods. The result: a flicker-free viewing experience while maintaining picture quality and colour stability. In addition, compared to pure DC control, you can adjust the brightness to less than 1% of the maximum value in darkly lit rooms. The benefit: Your screen remains free from glare even under these conditions.

Anti-glare coating: more image, less reflection

The EV2781-BK offers a perfect, non-glare surface. By minimising glare by diffusing the reflected light, the EV2781-BK effectively protects your eyes from straining. This keeps your eyes from getting as tired and allows you to sit comfortably in front of the monitor, without having to sit in a forced position to prevent glare.

Flexible stand

Ergonomic and stable: the adjustable stand has ergonomics in focus. You can turn, swivel, and tilt the monitor in the way that is most comfortable for your back, neck and sitting posture. It can be continuously adjusted in height and lowered almost to the table or the base of the stand. This allows you to position the top row of the picture ergonomically below eye level.

Software and ease of use

Impressive features mean greater comfort. Our intelligent software solutions and intuitive controls enable you to easily manage your settings as well as operate and deploy the display as a single-screen or multi-monitor solution at work each day.

Picture-by-picture: everything at a glance

The Picture-by-Picture mode allows you to display different signal sources on one screen. You can select which signal is to be displayed on the right or left half of the screen.

Use the Picture-by-Picture mode, for example, if you want to connect two computers to one monitor, or if you want to replace two individual screens connected to one computer.

Preset colour modes: optimised display at the touch of a button

Pre-set colour modes optimise the viewing of images, texts or films. Because it makes a difference whether you are watching a film, editing a picture, surfing the net, or writing texts. At the touch of a button, you set the respective pre-set for brightness, gamma correction and colour temperature. For example, the Paper mode simulates the pleasant contrast of printed paper, which is easy on the eyes when reading and prevents fatigue.

Operation made easy thanks to the Button Guide

The Button Guide provides all functions at a glance. Touching the button is enough and the screen will show all functions and the corresponding control panel.

Screen InStyle

In addition to the on-screen menu, you can conveniently control the EV2781-BK by using the Screen InStyle software on a Windows PC. The configuration options include colour reproduction, energy saving options, and ergonomic functions. In multi-screen systems, the settings can be applied synchronously to all connected screens with Screen InStyle.

System administrators can centrally manage and control monitors connected in the network with Screen InStyle installed using the Screen InStyle Server application. This optimises power consumption and simplifies asset management of the monitors.

Monitor Configurator for company-wide monitor setting

Workload reduction for administrators: The software allows you to create a default setup for all relevant monitor settings. This setup can be distributed to the connected monitors via the local network which facilitates the roll-out process.

Save electricity without compromising quality: The EcoView Optimizer reduces the background lighting fully automatically for dark images. This reduces electricity consumption by up to 30%. At the same time, the signal is amplified and the colour tone values adjusted. The result: You will enjoy the image quality you are used to but consume less power.

Zero-watt consumption thanks to the power switch

The monitors have an integrated mechanical power switch, which is extremely practical and energy-saving: If you switch off the monitor using the power switch, the device will stop consuming any power at all. Moreover, it consumes a maximum of 0.5 watt in standby mode.

Environmentally and climate friendly

Each EV2781-BK is manufactured in our own factory, which implements an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. This includes measures to reduce waste, wastewater and emissions, resource and energy consumption, as well as to encourage environmentally conscious behaviour among employees. We publicly report on these measures on an annual basis as a main component of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) report.

Sustainable and durable

The EV2781-BK is designed for a long service life that takes into account the entire lifecycle and impact on the environment. It is generally well above the five-year guarantee. Spare parts are available up to five years after the end of production. The monitor’s long service life and the ability to repair it save resources and the climate. When designing the EV2781-BK we paid attention to reducing resource consumption by using high-quality components and materials and being meticulous in production. The packaging of the EV2781-BK consists of cardboard box made of 85% recycled paper, while the transport padding is even 100% recycled material.

Environmentally friendly use of materials

The EV2781-BK is made of more than 60% recycled plastic. This reduces the amount of plastic waste entering the environment, conserves resources and promotes the reuse of materials.

Reducing the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in material production, such as those found in certain paints and varnishes, is also of global interest.

Through years of research, EIZO has succeeded in achieving a smooth, homogeneous colour and texture in its monitor housings without the use of varnish.

Environmentally friendly packaging

For the packaging of the EV2781-BK, EIZO says goodbye to plastic and polystyrene to reduce environmental impact. Instead, the monitor is securely packaged with moulded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newsprint. The enclosed cables are in cellulose cloths instead of plastic bags.

Compliance with standards and guidelines

The monitor is certified according to important and all-encompassing sustainability standards such as TCO Certified Generation 9, EPEAT and ENERGY STAR®.
