The Blustream CUSTOMPRO-HUB Custom Pro 4K Matrix achieves new levels of both performance and flexibility. AV installers can now easily specify their desired I/O structure and choose the additional control features required for a specific AV project. The Custom Pro Matrix has been specifically designed to operate in challenging AV environments. Its robust housing and interlocking board configuration make both installation and maintenance a seamless experience. Advanced optional features include audio breakout, simultaneous HDBaseT™ / HDMI outputs, RS-232 pass through, and a web browser interface module for enhanced control and configuration.

STEP 1. Choose control elements

Only specify the control cards required for the project

Model Description

Please note: you must specify a HDBaseT™ receiver that will allow for RS-232 pass-through

STEP 3. Choose input cards (HDMI2.0 / 18Gbps input)

The Custom Pro input cards allow for an 18Gbps matrix to be specified with either 2 or 4 inputs per card slot. The 8x8 matrix chassis can take up to 2 x input cards, the 16x16 will accept up to 4 x cards.

All HDBaseT™ receivers within the Blustream range of products are compatible with all Custom Pro output cards. Technical specifications vary per output card, and per receiver. The above receivers are those Blustream recommend for use with the specific output cards as outlined in STEP 4.

Selecting HDBaseT™ receivers within the Blustream range that are not CSC will limit the maximum overall output of a system to 4K 60Hz 4:2:0 8-bit colour.

Move to Step 9 to check system interoperability.

STEP 8. Choose compatible HDBaseT™ receivers (HDMI1.4 / 10.2Gbps only)

STEP 9. Check system interoperability

Input cards:

  • All input cards from STEPS 3 and 6 are interoperable in a Custom Pro matrix system. Ensure that the input card selected is suitable for the source devices to be connected.
  • Where a single source device is required to output a resolution that exceeds 4K 60Hz 4:2:0 8-bit colour (10.2Gbps max), where all outputs can select the source, all output cards must be selected from STEP 4. Failure to do so will limit the maximum EDID response from screens connected to output cards from STEP 7 to 4K 60Hz 4:2:0.
  • You cannot select multiple input cards that contain only 2 x connections. You must specify a 4 x input card.

Output cards:

  • All 18Gbps output cards are interoperable with each other, and any input card in STEP 3.
  • Where differing distance CSC HDBaseT™ output cards are being used. The HEX70CS-RX can be used on the outputs of the 70m @ 4K, 100m @1080p cards, with the maximum distance being that of the HDBaseT™ receiver in use.
  • Input cards selected in STEP 6 when used with output cards used in STEP 4 will have a maximum resolution capability of 4K 60Hz 4:2:0 8-bit colour.
  • You cannot select multiple output cards that contain only 2 x connections. You must specify a 4 x output card.

HDBaseT™ receivers:

  • Interoperability is based on the technical specifications of both Output card and HDBaseT™ receiver. Using a receiver with an output card that does not technically match, the highest ‘common’ denominator of: resolution supported, and distance capabilities will be achieved, not the maximum capable of one side of the link.
