Top-Tec 522/1 Standard Laptop Security Clamp Adjustable Bracket Unit
The adjustable bracket component slots around the laptop screen and is then secured to the base plate. The 520/B Base is needed to make the laptop fully secure.
Laptops are high value items that are becoming ever more common in the workplace and classroom. It is important to properly secure high value items such as laptops from theft. Not only does the Top-Tec system offer first class security there is no compromise on functionality, this means that it is still fully operational, despite being 100% secure.
The whole laptop security unit consists of 3 components. Firstly the Base Plate unit: this base plate is bolted securely to the desk. At the back of the base unit is a lock, to which the bracket and lid are secured. The laptop then sits on top of the base unit. The second component is the bracket: the bracket fits neatly around the screen of the laptop and then is securely locked to the base unit. The laptop is now secure and can be left unattended without the worry of theft. This bracket is ideal for during the day, as it allows the laptop to be used. The third component is the lid: the lid is used for when the laptop needs to be secured for a longer period of time, for example overnight. Instead of using the bracket to secure the laptop, we use the lid. A closed laptop is placed on the base plate and the lid slots neatly over the top and secured using the lock on the base plate.
