Many people wonder why you can’t buy bulbs separately from the housing however, when you see what goes into the creation of each Toshiba projector lamp, you’ll soon realise why a sealed modular unit is the only safe and sensible option.

The integral part of every Toshiba projector lamp is a blown quartz ARC tube, filled with Mercury vapour at ultra-high pressure. The vapour is ignited by means of an electrical arc, which is maintained by a complex system of wiring and ballasts. It is essential the Mercury vapour does not escape, hence the need to encase the bulb safely within the glass reflector and outer casing. Everything is precision cemented or soldered into place; ensuring reliability, safety and durability.

To keep costs even lower, we also stock JP-UK Genuine Diamond equivalent projector bulbs for as many products as possible.
